Colin Curtis

Colin Curtis,  envisions more than a trilogy; he imagines a sprawling franchise, a dynasty in the sci-fi tapestry that stretches beyond contemporary fandom. He aspires to forge a legacy that rivals the interstellar space action giants.

The 9th Colony isn't just a tale; it's a universe unfolding. Other worlds destined to become the constellations of an undiscovered history.

Colin envisions a franchise not just watched but remembered—a celestial beacon guiding generations through the vast expanse of the storytelling cosmos.

Colin’s creativity and imagination in this book deserve a nod of recognition. Concepts and ideas of clean, well-crafted sentences, each carrying a weight of originality and presents a precision that mirrors the clarity of a perfectly poured drink.

In the vast landscape of literary endeavors, Colin stands as a craftsman, sculpting the narrative with an economy of words that speak volumes. His ideas, like a well-aimed shot hitting its mark, resonates with a genuineness that is the hallmark of great storytelling.

Colin exhibits a clarity of vision that echoes the profound simplicity often found in the works of the greats. The Ninth Colony is a testament to Colin’s skill, an artistry that breathes life into the pages.

Colin’s journey mirrors the unpredictability of life's currents. From the shores of Clacton to the aero spaces of transient relocation, his tale resonates with constant adaptation etched in the landscape of England's changing tides. As Colin stepped into the world, he embarked on the rugged path of apprenticeship in the construction trade, crafting his narrative of resilience and mastery.

The rugged hands that now write and turn pages were also calloused with marks telling a story of dedication and professional genesis—An apprentice now the artisan, transforming raw materials into functional beauty and learning that true craftsmanship is not just a skill but a journey of character becoming.

After the curtain fell in the early '90s, he found himself entwined in the world of recording studios, a part-time sojourn born of his dual life as a DJ in the pulsating heart of the music scene and a singer carving his own notes into the air.

The neon-lit nights of DJing unfolded into the daylight hours spent within the hallowed walls of recording spaces. The turntables were his instruments, and the studios was where the alchemy of sound took shape where the intangible threads of creativity wove themselves into tangible tracks.

In the hum of the mixing boards, he discovered a new language—a lexicon of beats and harmonies that echoed the very soul of his musical endeavors setting the stage for a professional narrative of rhythmic exploration, and for a brief period, ran his own music bar on The Costa Del Sol in Spain honing in on his skills..

Back on English shores, amidst the familiar landscapes of his youth, a new chapter beckoned. Here, the pen replaced the guitar, and the writing journey commenced.

Colin Curtis, now a well-travelled author, began writing for publication 15 years ago.

Living in Spain inspired him to write his first book ‘The Stage Door’ Which exposes the corruption and infidelity that come with that lifestyle.

Then, life's capricious winds blew him toward Germany, where a union with a German maiden painted a chapter of his story. Yet, the narrative took an unexpected twist, and the chords of matrimony found a discordant note. The German interlude was but a fleeting movement in his journeys.

His latest book, ‘The 9th Colony’ which was released in late February 2023 is a science fiction story which tells of abduction, escape and the forming of a resistance to fight back. It explores the theory that we do not come from apes as Darwin’s theory suggests but that we were placed here on this planet thousands of years ago as one of several colonies of humans.

Colin Curtis strongly believes these theories and is heavily into his sci-fi.
